Did you know? In the next 10 years, 1.4 million jobs in computer science will be available, but only about 400,000 grads that will be prepared for those jobs.
We are hearing more and more about teaching students to "code." Should our students learn to "code" in today's classroom? Why is it important? Where do we start? Should it be part of our daily curriculum? We will explore these questions and many more as we dive deeper into this complex topic.
Participants will receive a list of coding/programming resources they can use with their students immediately. We will explore opportunities to get involved in an effort to increase awareness of the importance of computer science locally and nationally.
Creating a Culture of Coders - it CAN be done!
